This week Shell (RDS.A) and Unilever (UL) have gone ex-dividend. Both companies managed to raise their dividends compared to 2013.
Great news for the income investor.
Shell (RDS.A) raised the dividend with 4,4 % from $0.45 to $0.47 per share per quarter. This means an extra gross dividend income of $4,80 in 2014
Unilever (UL) managed to raise the dividend with 5,9% from €0.269 to €0.285 per share. An extra gross €6,- will be added to the dividend income by Unilever this year because of the dividend increase.
