2018 has been designated as the third International Year of the Reef by the International Coral Reef Initiative, but i’m not blogging about reefs so we leave that aside. Lets focus on dividends: A new year means new goals and for 2018 I’ve set the following set of investing goals:
- € 3500 in dividends
- € 15000 in contributions
I never set a portfolio value as goals since it’s kinda hard to control mr. market.
In the first quarter of 2018 the dividend machine had the following events:
- A total of €708 in dividends were received
- Four purchases were made
The first quarter of 2018 brought € 708 in dividends spread over 42 dividend payments. Compared to the first quarter of 2017 (€560) this meant an increase of 26%
The totals, in Euro, per month were :

- 35 shares of ArcelorMittal (MT.AS) were sold for €1047 in January to raise some cash
- 2 shares of Shell (RDS.AS) were acquired via DRIP. The total amount of Shell shares went up to 189.
- 12 shares of Pepsico (PEP) were bought for $1319,86
